Here is an easy way to set up and maintain a Blaptica Dubia colony. No substrate is best.

*To start, get yourself a plastic tub. Pictured is a 58 quart tub.*	*Stack Roach Flats to one side of the tub.*
*Stack to within 5 inches of the top of the tub.*	*Add a food dish and water crystals dish. Introduce the dubia!*
Basically you need to provide four things for your Blaptica Dubia: food, water, shelter, and warmth. In the picture above you can see a dish of water crystals and a dish of our popular Mega Nutrient Protein Diet. Roach Flats are used for shelter and are stacked by altering the straight and jagged edges as each Roach Flat is added -- Roach Flats are available in the store and are much better than egg flats. It is best to avoid too much humidity so ventilation is also an important consideration. For warmth you can use heat tape under the tub, Keep the lid on the tub to help keep the heat in if your colony is not set up in a heated room. Temperatures of 80F to 95F will keep your Blaptica Dubia breeding. Maintaining temperatures in the higher range will speed up growth and production. Blaptica Dubia take a while to get ramped up but are basically very simple to maintain and the best feeder roach by far.
